The purpose of any responsibility is to return dividends to those who have one that responsibility. The returns may be tangible or intangible.
In a few days from now, precisely on the 20th of April, few days after Easter Sunday, the Distinguished Senator of the Federal Republic, Dr Mrs Uche Ekwunife will in the presence of all his constituents tell the world what she has done since three years when the good people of Anambra Central Senatorial District massively voted her to represent them at the Red Chambers. From every indication, ( not trying to pre-empt the Distinguished Senator or her Constituents; two things will likely happen at the venue.
The first is that Iyom’s mouth will be filled with unusual testimonies and accomplishments for the people of Anambra Central.
The second factor is that in her very presence the good voters of Anambra Central will again endorse her to continue to represent them as 2023 comes into focus.
With these two events happening the same day, a stakeholder in Anambra Central Senatorial District, Ozo Okoye asked; “so why are all these people paranbulating around that they are contesting doing? I could not answer his question because, like him I truly believe and know that Sen Uche Ekwunife will as usual cruise to victory anytime the election is set in 2023.
The testimonies are the cares, the visits, the show of understanding and the empathy demonstrated towards the people of Anambra State, not just her constituents in Anambra Central Senatorial District.
The more than 34 houses built for the poor everywhere, the dozens of schools rehabilitated and the new classrooms constructed, the many educational study materials and equipments shared to all the schools in Anambra Central, the roads constructed as well as the new ones built.
Iyom has empowered youths from almost every family in Anambra State federal Jobs, and hundreds of women have been empowered to cater for their households with the substance they are making from what Iyom did for them. The list is endless.
But the most crucial thing is that the trust the people reposed on Iyom is now proven beyond doubt. And everywhere one goes her name reverberates.
So the Scorecard she will present is just a total package. Iyom is indeed good to go.
