It’s often said that politics is local. Indeed, it is because those who benefit out of every politics played are supposed to be the locals who reside in the domain where the politics is played.
Enugu State in the past twenty three years has been dominated by the politics of compromise, which has made transitions less contentious. The PDP family in Enugu State has successfully turned Enugu State into what we can can describe as “nkea bu nke anyi“. Enugu State has received good transformation in the hands of successive PDP Governors in Enugu State. Enugu achawapugo kpomkwem in the hands of these Governors.
To continue this trajectory as 2023 zooms into view, Enugu must continue to make that impact as a Regional Capital, the capital of East Central State, that of Old Anambra State and now the capital of Enugu State. A man of undiluted stature, a youth, the bearer of the future vision for Enugu State, someone who had occupied very sensitive, even if latent positions in the ever progressive Government of Enugu State has been found to lead the charge and the future happiness of Ndi Enugu. He is no other person than Dr Kingsley Udeh, an academic powerhouse who traversed the classrooms from the famous C.I.C Enugu, to University of Nigeria, Nsukka, to University of Nottingham, United Kingdom to University of Stellenbosch, South Africa. Dr Udeh is a native of Ozalla in Nkanu West Local Government of Enugu State. The most potent thing in life is an idea whose time has come.
The idea of Dr Kingsley Udeh occupying the Lion Building is a fait accompli and a idea whose time has come. An idea propelled by a unique vision that will create happiness for the entire people of Enugu State, and also take Enugu State to a more prosperous State. Indeed, now is the time to take Enugu State to a rediscovered destination anchored on the youths, the women and the progressive leaning population of Enugu State.
Dr Kingsley Udeh trained as Lawyer understands the rudiments of political journey anchored on loyalty and definite visions. Gov Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (Gburugburu) needs a successor that will make Ndi Enugu State applaud his wisdom to ensure the undiluted progressive journey of Enugu State. Any success without a good successor is always questionable. But knowing this ever forward thinking, the Mr Project Governor of Enugu State, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi he will leave a legacy of a very good right thinking progressive successor. Gburugburu posses that character. And he will never disappoint the good people of Enugu State.
Dr Kingsley Udeh remains a successor that will be anchored on Joy for the people; where more jobs will be created for the teeming youth of Enugu State, the women provided with an atmosphere that will make them take care of their families and a mensfolk that will array themselves in hard work, taking the cue from a Governor whose vision will be anchored on work and more work. Indeed Enugu State will continue on the mantra “Enugu State is in the hands of God”!
