A 40-year-old Ibadan-based Muslim cleric, Olasupo Afeez Akinola, has declared his intention to contest the 2023 presidential election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Olasupo, who is currently observing the Ramadan fast, said God directed him to run for the highest office in the land.
He said that Nigerians are currently in abject poverty, hence the need for a God-fearing leader like him to emerge.
