For the first time in the concurrent history of Anambra state we are having an unopposed aspirant of a big party PDP going into primaries.
Before now, oppositions think there will be keenly contested primary election in Anambra Central senatorial zone. Unfortunately, the 7 Local Government Areas of Anambra Central unanimously sound in agreement for continuity.
Logically, Senator Uche Ekwunife PhD stands unopposed in this race. The reason for this unprecedented scenario is not because there are no other qualified interested aspirants but because of the sterling performances of Iyom.
I remembered during Governorship elections which the working Senator participated, she said ” Give me the ticket I understand the political system and terrain of Anambra state and I have overwhelmed support of Ndi Anambra in all grassroot”.
This statement looked political to the then oppositions but with the current happenstance, Iyom has given a reality to his words. Today in Anambra state, with respect to His Excellence Mr. Peter Obi, there is no other Politician who would match Ekwunife’s capacity and acceptance.
Capacity is like respect, it’s not bought but earned. Ekwunife earned his capacity through quality representation and the people are happy.
In 2023, there will be a consolidation and Continuity in Anambra Central senatorial zone.
