A Nigerian actress who goes by Halima Abubakar took to her social media handle to reveal why she has not been active in Nollywood. The Nollywood actress suggested that many movie producers demand sex for roles in movies, and that she was not ready to give in to such. She went on to infer that she had not left Nollywood and that she doesn’t need to belong to a group.
Her revelation on her social media handle caused reactions when she called out male movie producers for demanding a hormone cocktail with female actresses for roles.
On the official Twitter handle of Halima,
she stated that she only left with her and not Nollywood, and that being active in the industry requires a lot. she inferred that she is now producing her own movies. The actress, who started acting aged 14, went on to engage her fans who made inquiries about her real age.
