The founder of Uma Ukpai Evangelistic Association, Reverend Dr. Uma Ukpai has lamented over the state of the nation particularly the recent event which happened in Sokoto state few days ago.
It can be recalled that Miss Deborah Samuel, a student of Shehu Shagari College of Education was lynched and burnt to death by other students and youths on Sokoto after she was alleged to have used some words which blasphemous to Prophet Mohammed and Islam in a Whatsapp group which was dedicated to their department.
In reaction, the Nigerian police arrested 2 students who masterminded the gruesome murder. The arrest has then led to a widespread protest in Sokoto state and several properties have been destroyed in the process.
In reaction to these events, the anointed Man of God took to his verified Facebook Page and said “What is happening is making me cry, I weep from the inside. A nation with no respect for another cannot last. God fight for us”.
