Senator Shehu Sani has advised Southerners not to intensify the flaming uproar caused by the gunmen who massacred the church members of St. Francis Catholic Church, Owo, Ondo State. He also explained the intention of the gunmen.
While explaining what he believes was the intention of the gunmen whom he referred to as terrorists, Senator Shehu Sani said that their intention was to trigger vendetta and national rift.
According to him, the criminals spare neither Muslims and their mosques, nor Christians and their churches. He added that the North is the daily victim of their violence.
However, while trying to ensure that the incidence does not get out of hand, and to ensure that the Northerners who reside in the South are safe, Shehu Sani said that the Northerners living in the South should not be molested because of the evil acts of the terrorists.
To Shehu Sani, the attack by the criminals who were alleged to be of Fulani extraction may instigate violence in the South who may begin to molest the Northerners living in the region.
According to Shehu Sani, the killing was not targeted at the Southeners or Christians alone, but at the nation at large.
Shehu Sani in his tweet tried to maintain peace and tranquility in the South, and to ensure that the Northerners in the South are not molested as a result of the ugly incident that rocked Owo, Ondo State lately.
