…….INEC had cited security and logistics as barriers to carrying out the exercise in Ayamelum
In a view to ensuring that Ayamelum Constituents participate in the continuous permanent voter’s card registration and revalidation, the Speaker of Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Uche Victor Okafor has secured a shift in the process against the initial schedule of carrying out the exercise at the Oyi local government Secretariat, Nteje.
It was however gathered that the INEC had cited security and logistics as barriers to carrying out the exercise in Ayamelum hence their resolve to utilise Oyi LGA headquarters but the timely intervention of Okafor with a promise to ensure adequate security as well as to foot needed logistics to ensure a smooth run of the exercise in Ayamelum for the commission to rescind their initial decision.
The Speaker enjoined Ndị Ayamelum to enrol for their PVCs at the Ayamelum Secretariat, Anaku and Ifite-Ogwari civic centre starting from Tuesday, 14th June 2022.
Okafor urged President Generals and Town Union leaders to sensitise the people on the latest development.
