It is no longer news that the major political parties in Nigeria have elected their presidential flag bearer ahead of next year’s general elections.
The Independent National Electoral Commission has earlier given the parties seven days to submit their running mate for the election.
The political party are currently making consultations on the suitable candidates that will market their ideas to the voters when campaigns begin.
In regards to the current situation, a lecturer with the department of Mass Communication at Kaduna state university, Farra’u Abubakar has urged Atiku Abubakar to consider convincing Peter Obi to rule the PDP Presidential ticket with him.
Farra’u who made the suggestion through his Facebook page, said the move would create problem for the ruling party. According to him, Rabiu Kwankwaso and Peter Obi are capable of splitting Atiku’s votes.
“Atiku should seriously consider mending fences with Kwankwaso and Obi. They will split his votes and affect his chance. He should also try to convince Obi to fly the ticket with him. This will create more problems for APC, as Tinubu struggles to solve the so called all-muslim ticket “wahala”.” he stated.
