- Do not toe the part of your predecessor – Nwokoye tells Soludo

Member representing Awka North constituency at the Anambra State House of Assembly Hon. John Nwokoye has decided to take the bull by the horn by leading a demonstration over bad roads.
The lawmaker together with his constituents walked from Ifite-Isu junction in Isuaniocha
carrying placards bearing various inscriptions and making their way through Amanuke to a section of Achalla chanting songs in solidarity
The demonstrators with a tag that read; “Walk For A Greater Awka North” took the message to Amansea, where the outspoken lawmaker addressed residents and call on Governor Soludo to deliver the Constituency from the enumerated setbacks.
Hon. John Nwokoye while giving insight and stating reasons for the demonstration, revealed that the condition of Awka North constituency has continued to give him grief concern.
“About 80 percent of the countless motions I have moved in the house and matter of urgent public importance speaks about the dilapidated state of our roads in Àwka North. And while promises are made by the Willie Obiano led administration then, nothing was done until he left office”.
“I recalled during a budget defence of the Ministry of Work in 2019, I strongly asked the question if Awka North was part of Anambra and vow to lead demonstration, not minding my second tenure chances, if nothing is done to address the ugly situation”.
Assuring that he strongly believe in the plans of the new administration of Prof Chukwuma Soludo, Hon John Nwokoye called on him to take very serious the “Save Our Souls” (SOS) call on ndi Awka North, and not toe the part of his predecessor.
This will be the first time in the history of Awka North that a sitting public office holder will lead a public demonstration, choosing to stand with the people because true power belongs to him.
With hope held high, Hon. John Nwokoye has insisted to continue partnering with Governor Chukwuma Soludo and committing himself to the actualization of the dreams and yearnings of his constituents.
