Reno Omokri has replied to a follower that reacted to one of his posts which urged the Labour Party leadership to visit Ekiti State. Reno Omokri said,
“You may be right. This may be senseless. But you know, sometimes, there’s a sense in nonsense. Just grab the sense and ignore the nonsense. If parties that have 22 Governors are going to Ekiti, it may make sense for a party with none to also go!”
According to reports, the Labour Party in Ekiti State has collapsed its structure into that of the All Progressives Congress, APC, which has removed the name of the party from the ballot on the day of the election. Some political analysts have suggested that the party’s National Leadership led by its presidential candidate should have led a massive campaign in the State to prove they are ready to defeat the APC and the PDP in Nigeria.
Even though the State has a Labour Party guber candidate, the Presidential candidate of the party has informed Nigerians that he was traveling out of the country to understudy the Egyptian Power and Education sectors. Many political analysts have advised him to build structures in Nigeria before looking for a way of solving the country’s problems.
