Zara Onyinye, a sociopolitical commentator, has reacted after Catholic leadership reportedly placed a temporal ban on Catholic faithful from attending activities at Adoration Ministry which is headed by Fr. Ejike Mbaka.
Mr. Callistus Onaga the Catholic Bishop of Enugu Diocese, in a letter, said the temporal ban was necessary because Fr. Mbaka has refused to heed “several fraternal corrections and admonitions” extended to him by the diocesan leadership. He added that some of the controversial cleric’s utterances and teachings conflict with the teachings and faith of the Catholic Church therefore Christians should keep praying for him.
Reacting, Zara Onyinye expressed satisfaction at the decision the Catholic leadership made as she said “the Catholic Church has restored its image and has shown that no one is above the church“
