Onaga must go, Mbaka church supporters protest after he banned members from Adoration Ministry

Onaga, Mbaka

Church members and supporters of the cleric in charge of Adoration Ministry, Rev Fr Ejike Mbaka have taken to the church environs to protest that the Bishop of Enugu Catholic Diocese, Calistus Onaga be removed from his position with immediate effect.

It would be recalled that Rev Ejike Mbaka on Saturday, announced the shut down of Adoration Ministry and that every activity has henceforth been put on hold until further notice.

However, Mbaka decided to shut down the church as a result of the order given to him by the Catholic bishop of Enugu, Bishop Onaga.

Onaga had earlier released a statement ordering all Catholic members to abstain from Mbaka’s Adoration Ministry after the latter made some derogatory remarks about the presidential aspirant of the Labor party, Peter Gregory Obi after which he ordered that the church be shut down completely.

As it stands, the members of the church have been seen protesting against the decision of the Bishop to shut down the church. Many were seen as very angry and ranting that Onaga is relieved of his duty.
