The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, visited the palace of the Oba of Lagos, Riliwan Aremu Akiolu, in the Igadugaran area of Lagos State on Sunday, June 19, 2022.
Tinubu, who is a former governor of Lagos State, returned to the state 12 days after he won the APC presidential ticket.
The candidate was warmly received by the governor of Lagos, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, and thousands of supporters.
Tinubu left the airport for Akiolu’s palace before he headed to the Teslim Balogun Stadium, where he was received by thousands of supporters.
While speaking at the palace, Tinubu thanked Akiolu for his support and prayers. He urged the monarch to tell his chiefs and other people in Lagos State to collect their Permanent Voter’s Cards (PVC) and cast their votes for him in 2023.
The candidate added that the next election is not a joke and that the chiefs must vote if they want to visit him at Aso Rock.
Akiolu prayed for Tinubu, saying that he would be victorious in the next presidential election.
He also urged his entourage to work with him and not betray him.
