
Nigerian music duo Peter Okoye and Paul Okoye popularly known as Psquare has set a new record as the only African music group with over 1billion streams on the giant video sharing platform, YouTube.
The YouTube account Psquareworld which serves as the duo’s official page was created on the 25th of May, 2011 with over 100 channel videos and 1.93million subscribers.
This recent achievement was attained after few months of putting an end to their long time feud.
The music duo who are both twin brothers from Anambra state, Nigeria, came into limelight in 2003 after the release of their first studio album, Last Night.
Since then, both artist have become an household name within and beyond Nigeria. However, in 2016, reports of the duo breakoff hit the internet, purportedly over a disagreement relating to the role of their manager.
However, on the 17th of November, 2021, the music duo ended their quarrel, thereby marking a new era in their joint career.
Since their reconciliation with each other, both artists are yet to release a joint collaboration but fans are hopeful that they would deliver at the right time.
In addition, Psquare remain the fourth most stream African artist on the YouTube platform just behind Davido, Burna Boy, and Wizkid.
