The Divisional Police Officer, (DPO), in charge of Nasarawa Eggon Division, Haruna Abdulkarim, has been kidnapped and taken to an unknown destination.
Abdulkarim was kidnapped in the late hours of Wednesday along Bakyano-Arikya Road while returning from the supervision of officers on duty, deployed to provide the security of lives and property in the axis.
The Overseer of Akun Development Area, Moses Anvah, confirmed the incident to journalists in Lafia.
According to the Overseer, the matter has since been reported to the Police authorities.
All efforts to reach the state Police Public Relations Officer, Rahman Nansel, proved abortive.
