BET Awards: Tems Emerge First Female Nigerian Artiste To Win Best International Act

Fast-rising Nigerian Artiste, Temilade Ogeniyi popularly known as Tems has made history and broken records to become the first female Nigerian Afrobeats artiste to win an award at the just concluded BET Awards.

Tems who keeps making Nigerians proud bagged two different awards at the award night which was held on Sunday, June 26th.
The singer became the first female Nigerian artiste to win the best International Act, thereby beating Fireboy, Dave, Major League and others to clinch the award.

Adding to her feathers, the 27 year old Tems also took home the award for Best Collaboration from Wizkid’s song “Essence” which features her and Justin Bieber.

This wasn’t just a big night for Tems alone but for Nigerian artistes as well.
Singer, Fireboy also took centre stage with his incredible performance at the event.
