The students of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Uli Campus has been leaving in perpetual fear as regards the growing insecurity situation of their environment(Uli, Ihiala). Reports has it that robbers have constantly raided the lodges of various Students, some of the lodges which included; David Iyke Lodge, Roman Empire, Spanish Lodge, Engineering apartment, to mention but a few.
It’s been rumored that a female Student was rapped at their last attack, dated 26th of June,2022. It has been reported likewise that the anticult and security units of the college have both been alerted but could do nothing as regards their present lack of guns.
The students has likewise resorted to a joint decision that no lecture will be conducted until their security is fully assured.
The students call on the speed intervention of the State Government to please come to their aid as the School authority has done nothing significant. “We won’t take it easy if anyone of us is being killed”….in the words of the students.
