At a time when our dear Kogi State is in dire need of development especially in the rural areas, we need to be critical about persons being presented for leadership positions in the state. We need to dig into the lifestyle and track records of projected individuals so that we won’t keep finding ourselves in political murky waters and always calling out for liberation.
It is against this backdrop that I confidently present to you Dr. SANUSI OHIARE, a rural energy development expert and politician from Adavi in Kogi State.
Dr. Sanusi Ohiare is presently the Executive Director of Funds and a board member of the Rural Electrification Agency Abuja. He was appointed by His Excellency Muhammadu Buhari in April 2017 and having displayed professionalism in his assignment was reappointed in January, 2022. As a member, International Association of Energy Economists( IAEE), he has successfully used his office to attract electrification projects to the 21 Local Government Areas of kogi State which includes solar mini- grids, solar street lights, provision and installation of transformers etc. Some have been duly completed and set to use while others are ongoing.
As a man who puts humanity first, Dr. Ohiare founded the Sanusi Ohiare foundation in 2019 for the purpose of empowering especially Youth, women and children through education, sports and rural electrification.
Dr. Ohiare is a dependable youth with the capacity to drive Kogi state to that desirable destination of our dreams.
