The Christian community of Nigeria is angry and displeased with Bola Tinubu. The CAN who’s the supreme organization that stands for the Christian faith in Nigeria has expressed its displeasure with how Bola Tinubu has picked Kashim Shettima as his running mate for the 2023 Presidential election. They complained that the circumstance in the country does not warrant the nomination of a Muslim-Muslim ticket.
CAN spokesman who made an official statement on behalf of the organization, explained that the current Vice President is a Christian and a Pastor but people are being killed in Churches with their Pastors. In his words, ”If you have a government where a Pastor is a Vice President and Pastors and Worshippers are being killed you can imagine what will happen when we have a Muslim-Muslim ticket.”
