
…urges state government to construct road in Nawgu community

The Frontline candidate to represent Dunukofia, Njikoka and Aniocha Federal Constituency Hon Lawrence Ezeudu has bemoaned the exclusion of his Constituency in the 2022 Revised Budget.
Hon. Ezeudo who is also member representing Dunukofia Constituency in the Anambra State House of Assembly at Plenary on Thursday kicked against the exclusion of his constituency. He also urges the Anambra state government led by Prof. Chukwuma Soludo to construct the road in Nawgu community.
Ezeudu who commended the need for infrastructural development stated that he is not averse to the One Hundred Billion Naira loan Governor Chukwuma Soludo presented to the legislators but that it failed to provide specific details.
The former Chief Whip who called for budget amendment revealed that some local governments and towns like Nawgu in Dunukofia Local Government Area need tarred road and other infrastructures but was not captured in the revised Budget.
The lawmaker further explained that adequate time should be given for proper scrutiny and allocated budget for particular infrastructure duly specified.
Hon. Ezeudu who stated that the hasty move to pass the revised budget was not in tandem with the due process strictly observed by the lawmakers as it does not have detailed explanation.
The legislator opined that more time should be given for serious scrutiny before its passage.
Recall that Governor Soludo had on May 19, 2022 presented 2022 revised draft budget of N170 billion to the state House of Assembly for approval and assented it yesterday after passage.
