Nigerian activist and presidential aspirant, Omoyele Sowore has tackled Peter Obi over a comment he made about the situation of electricity in Nigeria on Thursday, 21st July 2022.
In a series of tweets, Peter Obi had lamented over the recurring national power grid collapse in the country which has occurred 6 times in the space of seven months.
Peter Obi while speaking on how misgovernance has affected the country’s power sector stated that this is the reason Nigerians must elect a competent leader who will tackle these problems effectively.
He also spoke on the strike action proposed by bread manufacturers which poses a big problem for an average Nigerian.
Reacting to the tweet, Sowore said that Peter Obi served as an adviser to Goodluck Jonathan yet the situation of electricity didn’t improve in any way.
He went on to ask Peter Obi why he is pretending as if he doesn’t know the state of electricity in Nigeria when he has tested power at the federal level.
He also talked about Peter Obi’s trip to Egypt where he said claimed to have gone to understudy their electrical system and asked if he didn’t learn anything from the trip.
