A well known Christian Senator from the northern part of the country, Ishaku Elisha Abbo, took to his social media platform (Facebook) to cry out over a plan to suspend him from his political party.
Senator Elisha Ishaku Abbo said, “I am reliably informed that they (some wards’ chairmen) want to suspend me from the All Progressives Congress (APC) because I kicked against the insensitive same faith (muslim-muslim) ticket.”
He continued, “the Chairmen of the words were dubiously invited to Yola for a ‘party program’ but the real issue is to suspend me from APC.”
The prominent Senator said, “I hold the candle that brings forth the light of truth and also forgo the inconveniences of the hot candle wax to hold the light that burns bright.”
He chipped in that if other politicians can be silenced, he cannot because he is only for what is true and not falsehood.
Senator Elisha Abbo said the chairman of his ward and the entire ward executives of Muchalla are in his support against the same faith ticket. For this reason, they ‘excused themselves from the circus’.
Senator Elisha Abbo alleged that some people have been paid to bring him down. He sees this as desperation and warned saying, “they should thread with caution because the deceptive and lying masquerade sponsoring this charade will not enjoy the naked dance in the market square once I go into a personal attack on his person.”
