According to a news that was published by the Daily Trust Newspaper Online yesterday evening, it was reported that Honourable Femi Gbajabiamila, who happens to be the Speaker of the House of Representatives, has spoken about his relationship with the Sokoto State Governor, Alhaji Aminu Tambuwal.
While he was talking he said he singlehandedly pushed Tambuwal’s ambition to become the Speaker of the House but unfortunately, when it was time for Tambuwal to do the same thing for him, he went against him and supported a northerner for the role in 2015.
Gbajabiamila said to seat here and say he was not betrayed would mean he was lying because, he was really betrayed.
He said, “ Aminu Tambuwal, who was one of my closest friends then when he ran for Speaker, I single-handedly pushed his speakership ambition. But again, he must have reasons why he did what he did to me. That must be respected. I just wished he had made that known to me.”
When he was asked if he had spoken with Aminu Tambuwal since the House election then, he said he hasn’t and they have not met since then.
He said, “Who do you think should be reaching out to who ?”
