…Gifts Eight Cows, Millions Of Naira, Bags Of Rice, Tubers Of Yam, Motorcycles To Nnewi Youths And Members Of Nnewi Traditional Institution

The Senator representing Anambra South and Candidate of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) for the 2023 Anambra South Senatorial Election, Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah on Tuesday, reassured ndị Nnewi and his constituents that providing necessary support for traditional institutions as well as promoting the culture, norms and values of ndị Igbo remains his priority.
Senator Ubah made the remarks while hosting ndị isi Obi’s and members of Nnewi Youth Assembly and Empowerment at his Nnewi residence ahead of the 2022 Afịọlụ Nnewi (New Yam Festival) which will commence on Wednesday August 24, 2022.
According to him, the norms and values of ndị Igbo must not only be protected but shall be promoted at all reasonable cost.
Senator Ubah also appreciated the youths of Nnewi for their huge love and followership and urged them to remain Law abiding. He further reassured them that he will always use the instrumentality of his office to attract programmes that will support their legitimate ambitions and ideas .
The Anambra South Senator further handed over eight cows, hundreds of yams, bags of rice, over two million naira and motorcycles to representatives of Nnewi Youths , Obi Uruagu, Obi Umudim, Obi Nnewichi, some members of Isi Obi in Nnewi and members of Nnewi Youth Assembly & Empowerment.
While handing over the gifts, Senator Ubah who has always shown support for Nnewi traditional institution appreciated them for their efforts in promoting peace in Nnewi. He also prayed God to grant Ana Nnewi more protection and grace as the town’s sons and daughters get set to celebrate the 2022 New Yam Festival.
Responding, the ndị Isi Obi who couldn’t hide their joy unanimously appreciated Senator Ubah for his continuous support to their offices and Afiaọlụ Nnewi. They reaffirmed that the uncommon supports they received have been sustained by the Anambra South Senator over the years even before he became a Senator.
They further reassured him of their continuous love and support and prayed God to continue blessing his ambitions.
Members of Nnewi Youth Assembly and Empowerment also appreciated Senator Ubah for his uncommon sacrifices aimed at supporting youth development. The youths who were also gifted eight motorcycles by Senator Ubah further reassured him of their continuous support and prayed God to grant him more grace and wisdom.
Other highlights of the event include handing of assorted gifts to youths from the four communities of Nnewi .
The 2022 Afịọlụ Nnewi kicked off on Wednesday August 24, 2022 and will be concluded on Saturday August 27, 2022.
