The flag-bearer of the Peoples Democratic Party and former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar has met with the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, in London on Thursday to resolve the internal party crisis.
According to the PUNCH NG, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar appealed to the Rivers State Governor to support him in the upcoming 2023 presidential election.
And a source told the news outlet that Atiku has agreed to meet the requests and demands of Governor Wike ahead of the elections.
“He (Atiku) has agreed to meet all the demands. He will sign an undertaking on all the agreements. Once he is able to meet them, the Wike group is ready to work with him in 2023. The details will be made known.”
Recall that Governor Wike has been very critical of the electoral process that led to the emergence of Atiku Abubakar as the presidential candidate of the PDP. He accused southern governors of treachery.
