The spokesperson of Atiku Abubakar Campaign Organisation, Daniel Bwala has disclosed that he was called by Nigeria’s former president, Olusegun Obasanjo to support the presidential candidate of the Labour party, Mr Peter Obi but he politely turned down the request.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Rufai Oseni on Voice Of The People Fm Radio on Sunday, Bwala said he could not look at Obasanjo’s face and reject his request.
According to him, he had to promise the former president that he will get to him when he return to the country but he never did.
“I have had a call from the former president of Nigeria who wanted me to come and support a particular political party. Yes it was Obasanjo that called me to support Peter Obi.
I did not have any problem with the party other than the fact that they are pundering on a certain side of what we don’t need in the country .
I would like to apologize on air because while we were talking I told him that I would get back to him when I return to Nigeria but I never did. ” Daniel Bwala stated.
