Some tweeps are trending the #OccupyINEC hashtag following allegations of irregular and fake voter registrations on the database of the Independent National Electoral Commission.
The convener of the Coalition of United Political Parties, Imo Ugochinyere, made these claims on Wednesday and accused the ruling All Progressives Congress of masterminding the ‘fake and irregular’ voter registrations.
Reacting to the claims, a tweep, Jack said, “Dear #inecnigeria. 2023 is UN-RIGGABLE. Whatever you want to do, we are watching.
OccupyINEC may be inevitable at some point.”
Daniel Adamu Tangale urged, “Get your camp beds, mats, and blankets ready to #OccupyINEC. We must make our voices heard loud and clear. Roger out. INEC oo.”
Judith Akatugha tweeted, “We cannot be guiled! I’m in full suppprt of #occupyINEC to demand for clarity regarding the allegations in the public, total sanitisation of the system, rigid transparency and above all, prosecution of the corrupt INEC officials within the next 30 days.
Enough is enough ✊🏾”
