The Young Progressives Party (YPP) Senatorial candidate for Anambra Central, Dr. Chinedu Umeadi said the reason why he is contesting is to have a larger representation for the people.

Dr. Umeadi while speaking with media practitioners during his courtesy visit to the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Anambra Council at the Press centre on Thursday said if elected, he will operate a people oriented administration that will allow periodic assessing and that he will attract dividends of democracy.

Umeadi who is a medical practitioner while answering questions from Journalists said “I have come for quality representation. There is what is called Needs Assessment Theory. Each set of people have different needs.

” If elected, my style of approach will be strategic. This is what my purpose of being in an electoral office entails, achieving people oriented goals with accurate and systematic verifiable plans.”

Dr. Umeadi added by saying he has better plans for the youths through providing employment and opportunities. He assured that his practical approach to management will spur a faster approach to alleviate hardship and bring the government close to the people.

“Youth engagement is an instrument that will be in place to encourage youthful participation. The calrion call to extend a hand of compassion to the less privileged in the society inspired me to begin a foundation in the year 2019.

“My foundation organises annual science quiz competition and essay competitios through which I have giving scholarships, free medical care and several outreaches to impact to members of the society”.

He called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to address every challenges regarding the use of the Voters Bimodal Accreditation System (BVAS) voting technology to foster a credible and peaceful elections.
