Few weeks ago, This Platform offered an advice to PDP. We advised Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the party for 2023 general elections to withdraw from the race and allow the party to substitute him with someone from the south. And that was the only way to save the party from imminent collapse.
This advise was not taken. The period of substitution is over as INEC publishes the final list of candidates for Presidential and National Assembly elections.
The withdrawal of Wike’s camp from the presidential campaign council of the Atiku campaign organization is the last blow.
Instructively, Atiku will lose all the 17 southern states to Labour party and APC. PDP will be defeated in all PDP states in southeast, south south and southwest. This is as a result of the Atiku’s selfishness and greed.
He took what belongs to south and I thank Peter Obi and Gov Wike.
Without Peter Obi, Southeast would have been considering Atiku and PDP.
Without Wike, the crisis in PDP today that denied Atiku the support of Ayo Fayose who has always won Ekiti state for PDP since 2003, Gov Makinde who is the face of PDP in Oyo state and Bode Goerge who is the pillar of PDP in Lagos state wouldn’t have been alive.
Govs Okowa, Diri, Udom and Obaseki who are still with Atiku are wasting their time. Peter Obi will win their states landslide in 2023.
It will be on record that Atiku destroyed PDP by refusing to adhere to the zoning understanding contained in the constitution of the party.
The next president must come from south. It is either Obi or Tinubu.
