Atiku Was In Support Of Zoning Ticket To The S-East But Wike Frustrated The Move – Daniel Bwala

Daniel Bwala, spokesman of the Atiku Abubakar presidential campaign, has In a recent interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today, reacted to the words of Gov. Wike.




Recall that the Rivers State governor Gov. Wike said during a media parley in Port Harcourt that he was betrayed ahead of the PDP presidential primary election. According to the governor, he was betrayed by the PDP National Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu, who did everything possible to ensure that he(Wike) didn’t win the party’s ticket, which included calling several presidential aspirants to step down for Atiku. However after the elections, Wike has withdrawn from Atiku Abubakar’s campaign team with a strong demand that Ayu Iyorchia, PDP National Chairman, must resign ahead of the 2023 presidential election or he will not return. And this pills doom for PDP.

Daniel Bwala, in the video said that this is not the first time that Wike is complaining of being betrayed. Wike has always seen everyone around him as a betrayer. Atiku was in support of power being zoned to the South-East, but Wike frustrated that move because he had plans of running for the presidency.

Governor Wike virtually had everything he wanted. He brought this chairman. And when a discussion was being done in the party that power should be zoned, I recall very well, Atiku Abubakar was inclined that if it was going to be zoned, it should be zoned to either South-East or North-East, because these are the two geopolitical zones that have not benefited.” However, Atiku maintained that it was ever zoned to the South-East, then he was not going to run. Then everyone was opting it should be micro zoned to the South-East amongst stakeholders from the South-East. But Wike frustrated it because he had plans for presidency
