The Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, LP, Peter Obi while in Kano State on Friday on a consultation visit with his vice presidential candidate, Datti Ahmed told the people of Kano State that he will tackle the problem of insecurity, education, and poverty in the State and most importantly develop Kano from consumption to production as the state is the commercial center of Nigeria. Peter Obi said,
“First thing I will do is to deal with the issue of insecurity, unite the country and restore rule of law and move the country from consumption to production. Develop human capital and education, I can go on and on. But in the North specifically, where we have very dear situations, the problem with the North currently is that of insecurity, we need to get the farmers back to the farm. We need to ensure they get financial support so that they can increase their production. In Kano State, I will give financial support to the traders and make sure their businesses are exportable. Kano is the commercial center of Nigeria. As a trader, I will ensure nobody is left behind.”
