A Bola Ahmed Tinubu (BAT) Campaigner in the South East, Dr. Josef Onoh has lampooned the spokesman of Atiku Abubakar presidential campaign organization, Senator Dino Melaye over his tirade on the spokesman of the BAT campaign council, Mr. Festus Keyamo (SAN).
Both Presidential spokesmen of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Keyamo, and that of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Melaye, have engaged each other in verbal wars following Keyamo’s demonization of Atiku Abubakar whom he described as unfit to superintend over the affairs of Nigeria as president.
Melaya however retorted to Keyamo, accusing him of personal failures as a minister of state and describing Keyamo also as a failed politician.
But Onoh in his reaction to the altercations ridiculed Melaye as a comic character, street fighter and a gender oppressor who is undeserved of the position wrongly awarded to him by the 2023 PDP presidential council.
In his reaction to the attack on Keyamo, Onoh warned Dino Melayo to desist from threatening Keyamo, reminding him of his track records of physical attacks on individuals and theatrics while in police custodies.
“I urge Dino (Melaye) to be constructive on campaign issues other than mundane denunciations. The 2023 presidential election is a serious matter to be left in the hands of clowns and unfits such as Dino. This goes to confirm that the PDP presidential campaign is after all a huge joke which only untrained dramatists like Dino Melaye can perform on its stage of slapstick and comedy of errors.
“Keyamo is not one of Dino Melaye’s estranged women that he can turn into another punching bag. It is sad that the PDP is demonstrating a thug life in the choice of its spokesperson. We should rather promote our candidates than engage in empty threats such as Dino is doing,” Onoh cautioned.
He recalled that it took only Governor Yahaya Bello to run Melaye out of Kogi state and removed him from the Senate, stating that PDP is already making a caricature of the 2023 campaign by employing characters such as Dino Melaye.
“I don’t blame him for threatening to beat Keyamo because Dino has a record of battering, which is evident in publications of daily post of 06/01/2014; pulse.ng news of 02/07/2014; pmnewsnigeria of 22/12/2013; vanguardngr of 05/10/2018; naijagist.com of 18/12/2013; premiumtimes of 14/7/2016; punchng. Of 10/11/2019 and saharareporters of 07/12/2015, just to refresh your memory.
“But unlike his women, he will find out that he does not have a monopoly of violence. Irrespective of the fact that Keyamo is a distinguished Senior Advocate of Nigeria and a minister, does not necessarily mean that he is one of Dino’s women of physical abuse. (Warri no dey come last) even his appointment as a spokesman is causing disquiet in the PDP as I can be vindicated based on Nairaland publication of today 27/09/22.
“We will however not physically beat Dino like he does but we will beat him with the ballot after which we can send him to psychiatric hospital and after rehabilitation, he can proceed to Nollywood, or represent his local government in Road Fighting Championship which is a South Korean-based mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion and which was officially launched in 2010,” Onoh chided Melaye.
