Former Anambara state governor and the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr. Peter Obi has disclosed that he visited Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, the former president of Nigeria on Thursday.
The presidential candidate of Labour Party disclosed this via his verified facebook handle. He said the visit was cordial and they exchanged views on several issues of national interest.
Mr. Peter Obi also revealed that he went with his running mate and vice presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Dr. Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed. He wrote: “President Goodluck Jonathan received Dr. Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed and I, last night. The visit was very cordial. We briefed him on the progress of our presidential campaign, and also exchanged views on several issues of national interest. Grateful for his time and wise counsel.”
Recall Mr. Peter Obi became the presidential flag bearer of the Labour Party after he decamped from the main opposition party, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
