Nigerian singer and song writer, Charles Chukwuemeka Oputa, popularly known as Charly Boy, has spoken up following the one-million-person march organised by supporters of the Labour Party presidential flagbearer, Peter Obi in Lagos State.
Recall that thousands of Nigerians had come out on Saturday, October 1st, to show their loyalty to the former Anambra governor, as well as create awareness for him, ahead of the 2023 presidential elections. The rally was said to have held at about four different locations in Lagos State.
Meanwhile, the entertainment star in a tweet on his official Twitter account, showed appreciation to the numbers who showed up at the rally. He said that they are indeed, tired of suffering and are ready, to show Nigerian politicians, that they are the hub of power in the country.
He wrote thus in Pidgin English: “I Thank Una. All my Lagos pikins, brothers and sisters wey comot today, over try worry una. Dis na wetin we dey do for ourselves bcos we don tire to suffer. Aswear, na we get the power and we go show dem say Na We Be Government. God bless all of us, it shall be well with us.”
