Vice presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Datti Baba-Ahmed, has expressed the wish that people continue to underestimate his would-be principal, Peter Obi.
He believes that is where a good surprise of victory lies for them.
Baba-Ahmed said this on Monday while speaking on the chances of the pair.
According to him, they have all it takes to win, noting that Obi’s candidacy and the movement is real.
In an interview with ‘Channels Television’, Datti also noted that the assertion that Obi was not accepted in the North was false.
He said the genuine love he enjoyed elsewhere was sure in the North too.
It is a fallacy to say Obi is not acceptable in the North. I want people to underestimate him. I want him to continue to be estimated by the master politicians, owners of resources< the running mate stressed. The pair have injected some fervour into the current democratic experience, with what is now regarded as a movement for Obi. More youths have been showing interest, holding rallies across the country and also outside. The opposition is, however, reading ethnic manipulation and unsustainable exuberance to some of the struggles.
