The Governor of Benue State, Sameuel Ortorm, has further urged the national chairman of the PDP, Iyorchia Ayu, to step down and said he should be thankful for his role in getting information from the G5 governors and informing him about it.
The former Governor of Benue state, Samuel Ortom, made it known that he is part of the 5 governors that are claiming for the removal of Iyorchia Ayu, whose names are Nyesom Wike of Rivers, Seyi Makinde of Oyo, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu state, Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia state and himself.
And Ortom explained that he cannot force Iyorchia Ayu to resign because they come from the same state, but the necessary things need to be done and Ayu needs to respect the law of the zone because the PDP leaders have already failed in fulfilling the law of the party.
Ayu should be thankful that I am part of the G5 governors, which the governor of Rivers state, Nyesom Wike, is the leader of, because as I get the information from them, I will tell Ayu about it and I have also advised him to step down. If he likes, he should make use of my advice. If he dumps my advice, that is also fine too.
He explained that the right thing needed to be done and nobody shouldn’t blame the demand of Nyesom Wike because it’s true that Ayu promised to resign a northerner becomes the presidential candidate.
