The embattled former Governor of Imo State, Chief Emeka Ihedioha has vowed to make Imo State ungovernable for Gov. Hope Uzodimma as he affirmed that peace can only be restored if only the incumbent governor vacates from office.
According to a leaked phone call conversation made available to our news agency, Emeka Ihedioha was clearly heard in his own voice saying thus “they should leave the government house for Emeka to come and govern for peace to reign”. He went further to say, “They will not succeed so far he is not there as the Governor”.
This revelation is coming days after the former governor was called out by Imolites over the missing N19.63bn LG funds under his 7 months administration which he had approached an Owerri High Court to seek for a perpetual injunction restraining the state government from probing him over the missing funds.
He has been fingered by a civil society group in the state called Coalition for Justice, Peace and True Democracy over his obvious involvement in the rising insecurity in some parts of the state. According to the press release and letter signed by the group for onward transmission to the President through the state governor, Sen. Hope Uzodimma, they made it clear that Emeka Ihedioha and his cronies are sponsoring insecurity in the state and appealed to the President for his immediate arrest to avert further loss of lives and properties in the state.
As at press time, neither Chief Emeka Ihedioha nor his representative have come out to either deny or accept the leaked phone conversation and until then we make bold to stand with the facts pending a rebuttal.
