Nigerian activist, Aisha Yesufu, has taken to social media to respond to the statement of 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, following his decision to accept her interrogations and criticisms with regards to his plans for Nigerians.
Recall that Nigerian activist, Rinu Oduala had few hours ago, taken to her official Twitter account to question Peter Obi on how he plans on tackling police brutality, if he is elected as the next president of Nigeria in 2023.
Also her colleague, Aisha Yesufu backed her up in asking Peter Obi such question. However, such interrogation did not sit well with the supporters of Peter Obi on Twitter, as many presumed that they are set to ridicule the candidacy of their preferred presidential candidate.
And so, Peter Obi in reactions to such criticisms from Nigerians, including Aisha Yesufu and Rinu Oduala, took to his official Twitter account to state that he has noticed that some persons who have questioned his actions are also being criticised for speaking up, adding that the new Nigeria that they need is one which citizens can criticize and hold leaders accountable.
Peter Obi further welcomed such constructive criticisms from Aisha Yesufu, adding that he knows that they wish him well and he has them in his corner.
