It is about 19 days after the commencement of the electioneering campaigns in Nigeria. One of the aspects which have been kept from Nigerians is the amount of money used by political parties in securing these campaigns across Nigeria. It has become a mirage to Nigerians.
However, an All Progressive Congress, APC, Chieftain, Kassim Afegbua while being interviewed on Channels Television’s Sunday Politics said that the presidential candidate of PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar spent billions in bringing in the current APC government. Afegbua said,
“Let me just remind us, you know, by way of history, that Nigerians have forgotten Atiku Abubakar was a major financier of the APC in 2015. So aside from participating in that process, leaving the PDP, and joining the APC, he was also a major in the APC. So when you are blaming APC at any point in time for the solutions that we were supposed to present. So people need to take a breath because into that campaign in 2015, if I mentioned the billions Atiku spent, I’m sure you will be surprised”
