Presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, has revealed some of his plans for the northern part of the country if wins the 2023 presidential election.
While speaking at the Arewa Joint Committee in Kaduna State on Monday, Peter Obi said agriculture, security, and education are some of the top things he will deliver for the North.
“In the 2023 farming session, all farmers will be returning to their farms. The land in the north will be improved to become their new old and gold.
“North has the highest number of internally displaced persons (IDPs) and school kidnappings in the world. So, we will offer a permanent and effective resolution of all security issues facing the region.
“North has the highest number of out-of-school children. In this way, we will improve the educational system across primary and tertiary levels through federal government intervention and partnership with international organizations.
