
The Federal Government of Nigeria has revealed plans to change the designs of the national currencies.
According to the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele, the currencies that would be changed include #200, #500 and #1000 notes.
The Central Bank of Nigeria boss made this known today in Abuja during a press conference.
Reacting to the development, human rights activist and social media influencer, Shehu Sani stated that President Muhammadu Buhari changed the national currency in 1984 when he was a Military Head of State and he is changing it now in 2022 as democratically elected.

He noted that the number one citizen of Nigeria is changing the notes this time for the same reason he did in 1984.
