The Spokesman of the Peter Obi Presidential Campaign Council, Kenneth Okonkwo made it known during an interview on Channels TV that the Labour Party and its Presidential Candidate, Peter Obi would not involve in Vote Buying in the forthcoming Presidential election. He made this known on Thursday after Seun Okinbaloye asked him if his party, the Labour Party, has what it takes financially to compete with other parties in the forthcoming Presidential election.
While responding to this, Kenneth Okonkwo said that Peter Obi and the Labour Party would not give a dime to any voter to buy his or her vote. Speaking further, he noted that Nigerians are tired and are ready to vote for their freedom. He also knocked the Presidential Candidate of PDP, Atiku Abubakar for saying that the North needs a Northern President who would be able to recognize their needs. Kenneth Okonkwo tagged Atiku’s statement as ethnic profiling, adding that the Independent National Electoral Commission should call him to order.
