The leader of the popular Yoruba socio-cultural group, Afenifere, Chief Adebanjo has broken silence after the meeting between the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC flagbearer and Pa Fasoranti in Akure, where he pointed that the former governor of Lagos can’t say he has been offended by him.
Chief Adebanjo who spoke on channels television made the statement when he was asked if he has moved on and forgiving Bola Tinubu over the controversies between the two of them in the past.
The Afenifere leader who immediately dismissed the idea of being the one having to forgive the former governor of Lagos state further added that he is the one who should approach him and seek for his forgiveness over what he did in the past.
In his words… “Seun, I want to correct you and stop talking about forgiving Bola Tinubu. It is Bola Tinubu who should ask me to forgive him for betraying the party. How can he say I have offend him when that’s not the basis which he was elected”
The Yoruba group leader alleged that Tinubu betrayed the party as at then, as it was not the basis on which he was elected during the 2000’s. Though, he pointed out that the main issue right now for the group is directed towards the election, and specifically towards ensuring Obi’s success, and not about focusing on who have been offended or not.
Recall that Bola Tinubu met with the former leader of Afenifere, Pa Fasoranti in Akure, stirring reactions from the masses all over the social media space and beyond.
