Davido bags international award while mourning the death of his son, Ifeanyi

One of the Africans and Americans to be honored at the Afro Award in Los Angeles, California, is singer David Adedeji Adeleke, better known by his stage name Davido, who is currently mourning the untimely death of his 3-year-old son Ifeanyi.




The Afro Awards’ founder and executive producer, Mr. Taiwo Oduala, verified the news and said that Sen. Ademola Jackson-Adeleke, Davido’s uncle, is also among the honorees.

Along with Davido, other honorees include Mrs. Fatima Maada, the First Lady of Sierra Leone, Ayuko Babu, the Founder and CEO of the Pan African Film Festival, and Seye Kehinde, a well-known Nigerian Journalist.

He claimed that the recipients are Americans and Africans who excelled in a variety of endeavors.

Afro Awards 2022 is scheduled to be televised live on Sunday, November 6 at Regal La Live 1000 W Olympic Blvd, Los Angeles, California 90015, USA.

The award’s major goal, according to him, is to aid those who have excelled in diverse domains of humanitarian endeavor.

Ifeanyi Adeleke, the son of Davido, passed away on Monday, October 31. He had just celebrated his third birthday, which was on October 20, when he passed away.
