Chelsea haven’t been the same since Reece James sustained an Injury against AC Milan in Italy about 4 weeks ago during a Champions League game.
The West London club have been faring quite well in the absence of N’Golo Kante but the prolonged absence of Reece James has affected the Blues as Graham Potter has used 4 different Players Christian Pulisic, Raheem Sterling, Cesar Azpilicueta and Ruben Loftus-Cheek in the Right wing-back position since Reece James picked up a knee Injury in Italy.
Last season, Chelsea were actively in the title race but the Premier League trophy slipped out of their grip after their Wing-back duo Ben Chilwell and Reece James sustained injury.
Chelsea are heading down that same path this season as Ben Chilwell has joined Reece James, Wesley Fofana and N’Golo Kante on the list of Chelsea’s injured Players.
During the FIFA World Cup, these Players would be able to recover from their injury while the club might also simultaneously plan on signing Players in the January transfer window.
This rare break in club football that will be observed when the FIFA World Cup tournament commences in Qatar will allow Chelsea to rebuild and strengthen their squad in time for the second half of the 2022/23 season.
