S-East Have Been Treated Abominably By FG, I Can't Go To Senate And Be Their Errand Boy - Abaribe

The Former Senate Minority Leader, Senator Eyinnaya Abaribe appeared in an interview on Arise Tv yesterday where he was asked to give his opinion on the issue that some of the prominent people in Abia have called for him to step down due to his non-conciliatory style of politics failing to bring any federal projects to his senatorial district. “My reaction is very simple, the matter of the federal presence or not is not only for Abia, but it’s also in the whole South East. And we have to shout if they don’t agree on shouting. If you don’t shout they will never listen. So I shouted at Nigeria that they are treating the South East as second-class citizens. We’ve been marginalized.”

“We have been treated abominably by the Federal Government. And I can’t go to the Senate to carry their bags and be their errand boy. It will not bring anything to us, what belongs to me, I will not get through being an errand boy. I am not going to do that and the people of Abia south don’t want anyone with that nature.”
