The Senatorial Candidate of Labour Party for Anambra North Senatorial District and Former House of Representative Member, Dr Tony Nwoye has commiserated with the affected traders and victims of shops fire outbreak at Kano Street beside Onitsha Main Market, following a fire outbreak that gutted the market on November 27, 2022.
Dr Tony Nwoye in his heartfelt sympathy over the unfortunate incident that destroyed goods and property worth billions of naira, describing it as a very painful experience. Dr Tony Nwoye expressed sadness over the incident that left shops, buildings and goods razed and billions of losses incurred.
The Labour Party Senatorial Candidate for Anambra North hailed the Anambra State Fire Service and Delta State Fire Services for their timely effort in ensuring that the inferno was contained and called on the state government and other critical stakeholders to come to the aid of the affected traders of the market. This is time to show brotherly love.
Dr Tony Nwoye called on the State Government to investigate the remote and immediate causes of the fire outbreak.
Dr Tony Nwoye counselled the affected Traders not to lose hope. He urged them to remain strong and steadfast despite this setback. He prayed that such bad news will not come Thor way.
He urged the Traders and citizens as we enter Dry season, to always adhere to safety measures.
