Enugu 2023: Frank Nweke Jr Assures Enugu Workers Of Pensioners Welfare, Promises Micro-health Insurance Scheme

Enugu State Governorship Candidate of the All Progressives Alliance, APGA,says his administration will prioritise welfare of pensioners by clearing the existing backlog of unpaid pensions and ensuring subsequent payments are made when due.




Nweke said this while responding to the concerns and requests of the people of Onicha Agu ward, Amagunze community, in Nkanu-East, Local Government Area.

Addressing a cross-section of residents that included elderly pensioners, he noted the importance of ensuring senior citizens receive the respect and reward they deserve for their years of service.

“Senior citizens will receive the attention they deserve under my administration. Their pensions and gratuities will not end up in the pockets of thieves and we will ensure that facilities like healthcare centres are easily accessible.

“We will also partner with Health Management Organisations to provide Micro-Health Insurance and guarantee access to good healthcare”

Addressing further complaints about the unavailability of a Maternity Hospital, electricity and access roads, Nweke reassured the people of his commitment to ensure residents enjoyed access to basic amenities.

Also on the tour were the APGA Deputy Governor Candidate, Dr Edith Ugwuanyi, the House of Representative Candidate for Nkanu East, Dickson Orji, the House of Representative Candidate for Enugu North and South, Nonso Nnamani, the House of Assembly Candidate for Nkanu East Constituency, Hon. Samson Okereke, the APGA State Woman Leader, Hon. Ngozi Ugwu, amongst others.
