Reno Omokri, a social and political activist from Nigeria, has pleaded with Peter Obi’s supporters—famously referred to as “Obidients”—to comprehend the form of politics he engaged in.
The opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, have had the steadfast backing of Reno Omokri, a former presidential assistant. In a message that appeared on his social media account on Tuesday, November 29, Omokri made the appeal.
Reno Omokri asserted that Obidients’ followers, who are the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, have aided him over the years. He asserts that they contributed to some of his triumphs. He also gave them credit for sticking with what they must have believed in.
He went on to say that he was defending Alhaji Atiku Abubakar’s bid for the presidency because of the party to which he belongs. He made it clear that he never supports leaving one party to attend another.
According to him, “God raised me up through obedients, and I am incredibly grateful for that.” Their steadfast commitment to whatever they stand for is one quality I admire in them.
Changing parties frequently is not in my genetic makeup. Furthermore, party politics are not like trading. I cannot simply focus on my store, as I could in a market.
“I have a responsibility to support the parties I support and to oppose the ones I oppose.” Party politics are conducted in every country in the same manner. Do not take anything personally, please. The 2023 election is not the end of the world.
He stated that he has been a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for more than two decades and three years (23 years) and has only ever been linked with one party in an effort to be understood by Peter Obi’s fans.
